IMG_0984Thousands of Baloch youth sacrificed their life defending Balochistan and they made history. None of Martyr needs anything to be written about their struggle and sacrifices because they made history by giving their bloods for the noble cause. Today, I’m writing about Martyr Haq Nawaz Bugti. He was one of the youngest and intelligent Sarmachar (freedom fighter) in Baloch resistance movement. He was born in the house of well known family of Bugti tribe. He belongs to the ruling Rahejave clan in Bugti tribe. He was only 17 years old and the student of 8th class in TF Grammar School Sui when he joined Baloch liberation movement.

In early 2005, a captain of Pakistani Army raped a lady doctor of PPL hospital in Sui. The Bugti tribe strongly protested against it and Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti demanded punishment of the culprit but on other hand the president of Pakistan at that time was Dictator Parvaiz Musharaf who announced the culprit of the incident as innocent without any legal procedure.

The situation of Balochistan especially of Dera Bugti started getting worst day by day.  Shaheed Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti initiated a campaign to spread awareness among the people of Balochistan about their lost freedom. Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti arranged a gathering in Sui in 2004, thousands of People from different parts of Balochistan attended it. That was the first gathering in our area where Shaheed Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, Shaheed Balaach Khan Marri and others spoke to the youths and very much inspired us. Martyr Haq Nawaz was the most intelligent person in our group. In the general discussions, he always used to interfere and tried to speak about the Balochistan and her Geographical and historical matters.

In the end days of the September of 2005 after returning from school as usual, we were talking on usual things and suddenly we heard strange thunders. We were shocked and clueless about what going on in the city. Martyr Haq Nawaz was standing near road side and he said “guys today’s is happening what Nawab Akbar khan Bugti had told us but we didn’t take that seriously”. One of our friends replied him saying “what do you mean, what’s going on what kind of the sounds they were?”  Martyr Haq Nawaz Bugti told him to come there and showed hundreds of Army vehicles and tanks carrying huge military equipment entering Sui. “Friends time has reached what Nawab Sahib was talking about” he said.

From that day people of Sui and Dera Bugti started migrating from the area. Shaheed Haq Nawaz talked to his father and friends and told them that “I am not going to leave the area in fact I will join Sarmachars”. Then his father called him and asked him to leave and continue further study. Shaheed Haq Nawaz went to Dera Gazi Khan for further education where some of tribal forces backing by the state forces tried to kill Haq Nawaz Bugti but he was an alert man and he left DG khan after knowing the activities of the death squad around him.

Shaheed Haq Nawaz Bugti started struggle as a member of BSO after soon he joined Baloch Republican Army and for his great activities BRA high command elected him as one of the youngest and Top commander in Baloch Republican Army. Shaheed Haq Nawaz has accomplished many successful missions in Baloch Republican Army. We friendly used to call him “Commadante”. He was a very kind and friendly person to friends.

Shaheed Haq Nawaz was the proud son of Baloch leader Sher Mohammad Bugti and nephew of Shaheed Shah Mohammad Bugti. Shaheed Shah Mohammad Bugti was also a political leader of the Baloch Republican Party he was abducted by the Pakistani forces from Sui and killed under custody and his bullet riddled body was found dumped in Jatero Rekho area of Dera Bugti on December 07, 2010.

Shaheed Haq Nawaz followed the footsteps of Dada-e-Baloch Shaheed Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, Shaheed Balaach Jaan , Shaheed Shah Mohammad Bugti and hundreds of other martyrs who sacrificed their lives by defending their motherland.

Shaheed Haq Nawaz Bugti got martyrdom during fighting with occupying forces in Sarlat area of Noshki on November 13, 2012.

He made history by fighting against occupation of his homeland in younger age and his scarifies gave the vitality to the Baloch youths to join Baloch resistance forces.
